The continuation of TCK was not just a calling, although it was my calling. TCK met my needs. I would come to teach a class exhausted and many times discouraged by a day of counseling. I would say “God I don’t have anything to give today”. Through the hugs of children, discussions with adults, laughter with the other instructors, physical exercise and time in the Word, I would leave those classes energized. I was serving but getting more out than I put in. Because of my time in this ministry I have found other callings. That does not diminish this calling but strengthens it. Through TCK individuals have been brought into my life that are special and precious and that I call friend. I have seen God use this ministry to change lives, bring people together, and draw His children to Him.
God has shown me that His will to keep TCK going is stronger than individuals, financies and churches. TCK has continued even when leaders have left, teaches had personal problems, phone bills could not be paid and other schools and churches said bad things about us. This ministry has continued for twenty years and will continue in God’s timing. Of all the things that TCK has taught me it is that God has a plan. He has a plan for my life and this ministry. I want to step into God’s will for this ministry and do all that I can to stay within His will. Many lives and families have grown into a deeper relationship with Christ because of the work done by leaders and teachers of TCK. It has been a privilege for me to have participated in this ministry and I pray that what we do in this ministry will bring glory to God.
