PETITION

Your God cares about everything you are going through and wants to hear about it from you personally. It is amazing to me, that even though He knows all things, the God who created the heavens and the earth desires us to approach Him with our petitions; and He is moved by them.Your petitions show a soft heart and dependence on your God. With this kind of relationship intact, the enemy has no chance to enter into the situation and separate you from Him who is worthy. Petitions from a heart of disobedience or rebellion, however, fall on Holy deaf ears. Be alert! The enemy will seek to lead you into disobedience to separate you from your God.

BAPTISM

The baptism unto repentance and the baptism of the Holy Spirit are life-changing experiences which totally destroy any hold that the enemy has on you. For you have given your old self to God in exchange for a new birth of the Spirit; you no longer live, but it is Christ that lives in you. This indwelling of the Holy Spirit and the pledge of a good conscience towards God enables you to be more than a conqueror in Christ Jesus. For He that is in you is greater than he that is in the world. You are now guided into all truth by the wonderful Counselor, Who is able to understand the things of God. Rejoice! God is with you and in you and will complete the plan He has for your life.

Meditating on Kindness

Meditate on Kindness

KINDNESS

Meditating on the kindness God has shown us brings forth a response of thankfulness and praise, increasing our spiritual desire for a deeper relationship with Him. As God has drawn us to Him with His loving kindness, so He desires to use you and me to draw others to Him as well. Therefore, be as Christ, who reached out in love to those considered the least in His society, becoming one with them. He willingly accepted rejection and bore the shame of the cross. Take up your cross and follow Him. Reach out to the least in your life. As Christ intercedes for us, continue to intercede for those who need Him. Live godly lives, avoiding godless chatter, following the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Wait in expectation for God to work in your life and in the lives of others. Persevere! Kindness is a powerful weapon which dispels the darkness of the enemy.

As The Least

   AS THE LEAST

AS THE LEAST

Who is “as the least”? Do you walk out of your way to avoid a homeless person? Do you shake your head at those who dress and act differently than you? Do you treat physically or mentally disadvantaged people with respect – or do you avoid them? Would you go out of your way to help those whom society considers not worthy of help? God did. Even though Jesus had all the power of the universe flowing through His veins, He chose to be one of us, to be as the least of us. How God uses the weak and foolish things of this world to confound the wise!

God alone is worthy of glory! And yet He considers us precious in His sight. All of us, from the least to the greatest, have great worth in God’s sight, for we bear His image, marred as that image may be. What great love He has for us! Show this love to others, that they may see God through us.

If you notice the person that always sits alone, reach out to them. The person that is rude and always pushing people away, show them the love of Jesus. Reach out to the child that is always last in line, take them to the front. Jesus is always looking for those who are treated as the least.

THE CROSS

Has someone you know or a complete stranger done something to help or, bless you? At the time, these individuals stand out in our minds. But little by little, as time goes by, we tend to forget how important this act of kindness was to us. Take time every morning and throughout your day to remember all that occurred before, during, and after our Lord’s death on the cross. For you will be drawn closer to Him, living in an attitude of gratitude leading to worship and praise, living in the Spirit all through your day. The enemy won’t have a chance to diminish in your memory this gracious and loving sacrifice because you will be worshipping in the presence of your King, ever mindful of this great gift.

Spiritual Desire

spiritual desire

I believe that our spiritual desire to know God better is one of His greatest joys. How He desires to make Himself known to us! The Lord has revealed Himself in His Word and made His Word available to us. Jesus has sealed us as His own, placing in us the Holy Spirit who guides us into all truth.

The Holy Spirit gives power, as He lives in you and is upon you, to do His will to bless others with truth and love. To do as we are commanded to do as Jesus did and even greater things. In Jesus name. Casting out demons and laying hands on the sick to be healed. All aas signs of the Kingdom of God.

All creation proclaims His glory. The enemy diligently works to diminish your desire to know God. Through accusations and lies he tries to convince you that God does not desire a relationship with you, that you are not worthy. Let the goodness and love of your Savior continue to draw you to a deeper love relationship with your heavenly Father. Guard this relationship carefully, nourish it, and let it grow!

I Am He

To know God’s names is to know God. In them we see His unchanging character. When God tells you, “I AM THAT I AM,” He is showing you His true essence. Absolute integrity, truthfulness, no darkness at all; what you see is what you get. In a world of manipulation it is comforting to know that the one true living God comes to you in complete openness and honesty. And you never have to worry about Him changing. These same qualities are seen in Jesus; He is the Creator of the heavens and the earth, and He is your Savior. He dwells within you, upon you, goes ahead of you, and comes behind you. There is great and mighty power in His Name. This power is His love for you. Remember that He who is in you is greater than your enemy who is in the world.

Apply the Word of God to your Life Blog/Vlog Meekness Hope is God's Promise

Read, study, memorize, and apply the Word of God to your life. The defense against the enemy starts here. Without the Word you walk through a battle zone defenseless. Memorizing the Word of God is a good start, but it is not enough; you must know when and how to use the Scriptures. You must be able to recall them, by the power of the Holy Spirit, in time of temptation and trial. This takes practice and drilling of the Word. All Scripture will help in your battle to live a righteous and holy life. Stay in the Word of God daily. Let God equip and minister to you through His Word. The Word of God is also to be spoken to others to encourage, exhort, comfort and warn the Body of Christ.

Your Weapon:
For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. (Hebrews 4:12)

Start with Avoiding

In Totally Christian Karate there are no kicking or punching techniques in the first two levels. We start with avoiding because the art assumes that we are:

1. Old

2.Out of Shape

3. Injured

4. Slow

Avoiding
Avoiding

5. Weak

6. Outnumbered

7. Caught off guard

Ideally none of these is the case. However as a Self-Defense art we must assume they are and train to be effective anyway. Start with avoiding.

An art that cannot be effective under all these conditions might be an effective military combat method or a winning sport method or even an effective brawling method but they are not a Self-Defense Method!

So in Totally Christian Karate we do not go head to head  or exchange with the attackers. We make sure everything bad happens to the other guy. Our desire is not the destruction of the attacker but our self preservation or the preservation of someone else because that person is created in the image of God and He loves them.

Scripturally, I never try to pay back wrong for wrong or exchange word for word with others. I think of others more than myself. Remembering all of the times in my life that I may have attacked someone else with my words. I avoid the offense, turn the other cheek and look for the opportunity to share truth with love. This takes practice.

Expect God to do what He promises

When we expect something to happen, we believe and do not doubt the outcome. When we pray, Jesus encourages us to expect God to do what He promises. We can expect God to love us, to never forsake us, to provide for us, to comfort us, to empower us, to bless us, to give us grace and peace, and to stay the same yesterday, today, and forever. Be sure you understand that we do not hold power over God. Our expectation is based upon God’s character, Who He is, our loving sovereign Lord. Watch out for thoughts that put you on the throne! The enemy wants us to that believe we belong there. Expect God to do what He promises.
