The purpose of Christian Internal Combat is to train in taking our thoughts captive and making them obedient to Christ in our everyday lives
2Co 10:5 We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.
The purpose is to please God in all we think with our minds, say with our mouths and do with our bodies. This is an internal battle not physical.
Eph 6:12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
Training spiritually is more important than physical training.
1Ti 4:8 For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.
